2023 Prevention of Unlawful Harassment and Discrimination Training for Non-Supervisory Employees training period is: July 5th to 31st. Due Date: July 31, 2023

Starting the Training:

  1. How to Access the Training.
    The training link will be sent by an invitation email to your Caltech.edu address from [email protected] on July 5th. The training link is also available in access.caltech. If you do not have your username and password to log in to access.caltech, please contact IMSS for assistance.
  2. Schedule Time for the Training.
    California Law requires all supervisory employees to fulfill a minimum of two hours of training in the prevention of unlawful harassment and discrimination and non-supervisory employees to fulfill a minimum of one hour every two years. The separate Title IX training is also required and will add approximately 30 minutes to the training time.
  3. Progressing Through the Training.
    The training platform allows you to bookmark your place and step way from the training if you are not able to complete the training all at once. If the training does not bookmark the page where you stopped, please exit the training and log back in. If the issue persists, please contact [email protected].
  4. Required Versus Optional Material Reading.
    Choosing the optional material reading offered at the end of the course will increase your time in the training and will allow you to meet the time requirement if you complete the mandatory material in less than the time requirement.

Yes, the training is smartphone and tablet compatible. Training should be taken during work hours.

Yes. The training completion status will update when training is 100% complete and minimum required training time of one hour is met. Both must be completed before status is updated to Complete.

While the Bookmark feature work for training pages, it does not work on videos.

If you stop and exit while watching the video, it will not bookmark your place and will take you back to the beginning of the video when you resume the training.
