Training Information and Guides

The 2024 Prevention of Unlawful Harassment and Discrimination Training for Supervisors and Faculty training period is: July 1st to 31st. Due Date: July 31, 2024.

Helpful Tips Before Starting:

  • The training is computer, tablet and mobile compatible, however, using a computer is recommended.
  • Please ensure that you are using the most up to date version of Firefox, Safari, or Chrome. If on Safari, please ensure cross-site tracking is enabled.
  • Please ensure that both cookies and pop-ups are enabled on your browser.
  • The training tracks the active time you spend in the training. If you navigate away from the training page and open a new tab, the timer will stop. Training will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
  • Use the timer icon on the upper right corner of the training to track how much time left you have to meet the time requirement.

Troubleshooting Tips to Use During the Training:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies to eliminate any error screens.
  2. Following that, close the web page and open a new browser window to relaunch the course.
  3. If the above suggestions don't resolve the issue, consider switching to another browser.

How to Access the Training.
The training link will be sent by an invitation email to your Caltech.edu address from [email protected] on July 1st. The training link is also available in access.caltech. If you do not have your username and password to log in to access.caltech, please contact IMSS for assistance.

Progressing Through the Training.
The training platform allows you to bookmark your place and step away from the training if you are not able to complete the training all at once. If the training does not bookmark the page where you stopped, please exit the training and log back in. If the issue persists, please contact [email protected].

Required Versus Optional Material Reading.
Choosing the optional material reading offered at the end of the course will increase your time in the training and will allow you to meet the time requirement if you complete the mandatory material in less time than the time requirement.
