Verifications of employment for mortgage, loan, auto financing, or credit cards are handled through The Work Number for Caltech Staff, Student Employees, Postdoctoral Scholars, Visitors, Research Faculty, Instructors, and Lecturers. Lenders should visit The Work Number website or call 1 (800) 367-5690. Caltech's employer number is 51584. JPL's employer number is 16552. Under Institute policy, we only release dates of employment, job title and current rate of pay with authorization. We do not provide verbal verifications of employment.

Employees can create a free account to see who has made verification of employment inquiries to The Work Number.

Verifications of employment for Caltech Professorial Faculty members are done through the Caltech Faculty Records Office. Please send verification of employment request to the Caltech Faculty Records Office by fax at (626) 793-8762 .
