The Caltech Sustainability Advisory Council, which was convened in spring 2023, recommended the restoration of reusable tableware. The Caltech community has stepped up its prevention and reduction of landfill-bound waste in recent years. The use of washable plates, utensils, and mugs will further lower the volume of unrecyclable trash created by single-use items.
