Microscopist Receives Queen's Honors

Alasdair McDowall, a cryo-electron microscopist in the laboratory of Grant Jensen, has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia by Her Majesty HRH Queen Elizabeth II in the 2019 Queens Birthday Honors list.Appointment to the Order of Australia confers the nation's highest recognition for outstanding achievement and service among its citizens.

The citation recognizes McDowall's "significant service to science, particularly in the field of electron microscopy."
